The journey time between London and Luton airport is approximately 35 minutes, and it costs from £10 for a single ticket.

easyBus: easyBus (www.easybus.co.uk)operates an express (direct / non-stop) minibus service between Central London (Baker Street), and Bay 4 outside the terminal. This service operates 7 days a week; from around 08:00 to 21:00. Scheduled journey time is 55 minutes.
Private hire transfer companies: a number of companies offer private hire transfers from luton airport to central London. One that we have had good feedback on is Viator. They offer an airport transfer service between central london and luton airport (you can book single or return) in a 'private car transfer' or via an 'airport shuttle' (a mini-bus).
Taxi: there is a taxi rank directly outside the terminal. You could take a taxi to central London but, 32 miles or 51 kms from the city, you have to travel down a very, very busy M1, past the M25 and through a busy north west London. This is not the quickest option, and it's likely to cost you over £90, so it's not the cheapest either.
