London Luton airport is located near Luton - 10 miles north up the M1 above the the M25 or 32 miles north of Central London.

Getting to Luton Airport By Road

From the M1: Luton Airport just two miles (5 minutes in normal traffic) from the M1. Exit the M1 at Junction 10. The route to the airport is clearly signposted.

From the M25: Luton Airport is 15 minutes from the M25 (in normal traffic). Exit the M25 at Junction 21 for the M1 northbound, then exit the M1 at junction 10 and follow the signs.

From the East and A1: You can also get to Luton Airport from the East and A1 via the A505 dual carriageway through Hitchin. The airport lies just off the A505 and is clearly signposted.

Getting to Luton Airport By Rail

The airport is served by Luton Airport Parkway Station. A constant, low cost shuttle bus service operates between the airport terminal (Bay 1) and this rail station - a 1.8km (5 minute) journey. At peak times this shuttle bus runs every 10 minutes, and at off-peak times the service operates every 14 - 16 minutes. Telephone 01582 405 100 for more information.

Regular rail services between central London and Luton Parkway take as little as 25 minutes. Trains are operated by Thameslink and Midland Mainline, plus there is a coach link (from the airport) to Milton Keynes Station for Virgin Trains.

Midland Mainline: Midland Mainline trains connect major cities in the East Midlands and Yorkshire with Luton Airport Parkway. For Midland Mainline timetables and information visit www.midlandmainline.com.

Virgin: Virgin Rail Link (Luton Railair coach) from Bay 7 to Milton Keynes Station, where you can pick up Virgin Trains services to / from the West Midlands and the West of England. Getting to Luton Airport by Coach

Luton Airport has connections with key towns and cities across the country. The coach pick up and drop off points are situated in front of the terminal building.

easyBus: easyBus operates an express (direct / non-stop) minibus service between Central London (Baker Street), and Bay 4 outside the terminal. This service operates 7 days a week; from around 08:00 to 21:00. Scheduled journey time is 55 minutes.

National Express: operate from bays 5 and 6 outside the airport, with regular services between Luton airport and destinations including Birmingham, Cambridge, East Midlands, Gatwick Airport, Heathrow Airport, Liverpool, Manchester, Milton Keynes, Northampton and Stansted Airport.

- Number 777 travels between the airport and Birmingham, Birmingham Airport, East Midlands, Milton Keynes, Hitchin, Stevenage, Stansted Airport.

Luton Airport is served by frequent bus services connecting the airport and surrounding areas. Local Buses operate from bays 8 and 9 outside the airport.
