Passengers up 3.4% at Luton Airport

easyJet has announced passengers up 3.4% in November compared to the same month a year ago. The budget airline carried 2.99 million passengers, as its load factor increased to 83.9%, from 80.8% last year.
The improvement in load factor reflects the axing of some lower yielding flights from its winter schedule, however these route changes also meant growth in passengers was down from around 20% in the summer. They would have been lower were it not for the addition of GB Airways in March (so reflected in this year's figures but not in the comparative).
easyJet carried 44.37 million passengers in the 12 months to the end of November. Its load factor during the period was up 0.8 percentage points to an average of 84.4%.
