Amedeus add easyJet tools

Amadeus has announced that it is to add to the functions available to travel management companies accessing easyJet through its GDS. The company's UK and Ireland managing director, Stephane Durand, said accessing easyJet through Amadeus would now offer ‘better functionality than going directly through the easyJet [consumer] website’.
The changes – to be launched this month – mean that agents will be able to change itineraries, names, synchronise passenger name records and book Speedy Boarding. Mr Durand said: ‘TMCs have said very publicly that the £7.50 surcharge to access the system is too high. By bringing more value to the process, we will convince them to use the GDS more.’
