Monarch to quote tax inclusive fares

Luton Airport based holiday airline Monarch is to quote all of its fares inclusive of tax in a bid to ‘restore trust’ in air fare pricing. Managing director Tim Jeans said fares on the airline's website at all stages of the booking process and those quoted by its call centre representatives will include taxes.
He said: ‘The UK travelling public are savvy travellers and are rightly cynical about the low fares they see advertised on airline websites, knowing that the final price will be much, much higher once taxes and other charges are included. We will quote tax-inclusive fares from November, including all charges such as airport taxes and Air Passenger Duty.'
