Airport shelves drop off fee

Luton Airport has shelved plans to charge drivers £1 to drop passengers off at the terminal, the Daily Telegraph reports. This ‘kiss and drop’ charge for using its short stay car park was due to come into force last month, but has been put on hold until further notice.
An airport spokesman told the newspaper: ‘We haven't implemented it yet. There are some other things we need to work on. There is no fixed date for introducing it. We will advise passengers in due course. Nothing has been set in stone.’ When the Telegraph asked if the scheme had been dropped, the airport spokesman said: ‘I don't have any information on that at the moment.’
