Woman killed in airport crash

A woman pedestrian was killed when she was hit by a lorry at Luton Airport this afternoon. Police were called to the airport at 13:30 after report of the fatal accident.
Bedfordshire Police have warned those travelling to or from the airport to leave extra time for their journey as traffic delays are likely. Officers are investigating the crash scene - which will take several hours - and have appealed for anyone who has information to contact them.
