Terror alert for Luton bound plane
19.03.10
A plane flying to Luton Airport was forced to return to Romania 15 minutes into the flight after a security alert yesterday. The Wizz Air aircraft, with one hundred sixty five passengers on board, touched down safely again at Timisiora in Romania.
Timisoara Airport is reported to have received an anonymous telephone call shortly after the plane took off early in the morning. A Luton Airport spokeswoman said: 'The aircraft had to return to Timisoara. It's understood it was a hoax call. The plane should have landed at Luton at 07:20 but arrived in the early afternoon.'
