Stelios to launch easyHolidays

Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou, the founder of easyJet, plans to roll out a suite of ‘spoiler’ travel websites to take on the budget airline, as their High Court battle reaches its climax, Marketing reports.
The entrepreneur has launched a digital and outdoor advertising campaign to promote easyHolidays.co.uk, a yet-to-launch travel website that will be in direct competition with a similar service launched by easyJet in 2007, and also with established brands such as Expedia. He has also set up holding sites for easyFlights.co.uk and easyAirtours.com.
Speaking to Marketing, Sir Stelios confirmed the launch of easyHolidays.co.uk, but would not give details of the proposition. He said: 'I always announce new ventures years in advance. The ads have generated several leads for business partners.'
