easyJet snow hit passengers offered free flight transfers
21.12.10
To enable more people to get to their destination in time for the festive period, easyJet is to allow passengers who have had their flight disrupted by the weather problems to transfer their return flights free of charge to any airport served by the airline.
The move offers new options for passengers whose flights were cancelled due to the adverse weather over the weekend in the UK and across Europe. easyJet is planning to operate around 1000 flights a day during the festive period – providing over 150,000 seats - and says it is doing everything it can to look after any disrupted passengers. Despite the closure of a number of airports yesterday, it operated around 85% of its flights.
easyJet is already offering free transfers and refunds online. This new policy will be in force from today until January 3. Passengers taking up this option will have to organise - and pay for - the rest of their trip to their final destination.
