Earlier flights release for easyJet

In an attempt to gain an advantage in a recession hit aviation market, and following the lead of other smaller budget airlines, easyJet is changing the way it releases its seats for the coming seasons, making it possible for passengers to book earlier. The budget airline has today released its schedules for Spring 2010 from its bases in the UK regions.
Previously the airline launched its schedules in two 6 month blocks, winter and summer timetables. although it staggered the release date by airport in order to ease the stress on its website. The change means it is now releasing flights by 'season' and it is possible to book flights from Belfast, Bristol, East Midlands, Liverpool and Newcastle for Spring next year - up to the end of June 2010. Flights from London and Scotland will go on sale within the next few weeks, and seats for Summer 2010 (June to October) are expected to go on sale next month.
An easyJet spokesman said the new release schedule will enable passengers to better plan ahead and take advantage of the airline’s lowest fares. Of course it will also mean that the airline gets its hands on passengers money earlier, and can adjust its schedules ahead of time depending on demand.
