Luton fastest growing London airport in 2011

Luton Airport is the fastest growing major airport in the London area – and is second only to Heathrow for business travel as a percentage of total passengers. In the first 6 months of 2011, passenger numbers increased by 11.3 percent and in 2010 19 percent of its passengers were business travellers.
Glyn Jones, the airport's managing director, said: ‘We are really pleased with the increase in passengers choosing to fly via Luton. We have worked hard and listened to our customers, focusing on their requirements and invested in creating the optimum in fast, value for money travel in and out of London and north towards the Midlands.’
